John Deere Unveils 350 P-Tier and 380 P-Tier Mid-Sized Excavators
John Deere is proud to introduce the newly enhanced 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier mid-sized excavators, adding to their ever-evolving lineup of construction equipment. These revamped models mark the first release under John Deere's new Performance Tiering strategy, designed to provide operators with the ideal blend of safety, comfort, and control, all while delivering the robust power needed for demanding job sites.
SmartGrade™ Technology: Choose Your Level of Innovation
The 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier excavators are equipped with SmartGrade™ technology as a factory-installed option or as a field upgrade kit. This technology offers multiple levels of grade management options — 2D Guidance, 3D Guidance, 2D SmartGrade Ready Control, and SmartGrade 3D Control — allowing customers to select the level of precision that fits their needs. As their business grows, they can upgrade to more advanced technology without needing to invest in a new machine. The SmartGrade technology also features Overdig Protect, a function that limits the bucket's cutting edge from going below the target design surface, protecting your investment from unnecessary wear and tear.
Enhanced Visibility for Increased Safety
Safety is a priority with the new 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier excavators. Each model comes with right, rear, and left camera systems and LED surround lighting, providing a full 270-degree view around the machine. This feature is integrated directly into the cab's primary display, giving operators an enhanced field of vision and improved situational awareness, critical for navigating complex job sites.
Designed for Operator Comfort and Productivity
John Deere understands that comfort translates to productivity. The 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier come standard with front LED work lights, and operators can opt for features such as a heated air suspension seat, a premium leather heated and cooled seat, additional deluxe LED work lights, and specialized cold weather and debris packages. These upgrades ensure that operators stay comfortable and efficient, regardless of the weather or job conditions.
Improved Serviceability and Lower Operating Costs
Both models feature a new, larger hood design that enhances serviceability. The individual removability of each cooler, paired with easier access to the compartment, simplifies maintenance. These improvements, along with a 7% increase in fuel economy through electric on-demand cooling fans, in-line aftertreatment, and increased front piping diameter, help to lower daily operating costs. This focus on efficiency ensures that the 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier excavators deliver exceptional performance over their entire service life.
Built in the USA, Designed for Excellence
Manufactured in Kernersville, N.C., the new excavators are built to handle demanding, high-production applications. “Our goal in enhancing the 350 P-tier and 380 P-tier is to address the needs of operators by creating a comfortable and technologically advanced machine that can make their job easier,” said Justin Steger, Solutions Marketing Manager at John Deere Construction & Forestry. “With improved fuel economy and enhanced visibility, these machine benefits will provide operators with higher productivity, increased uptime, and lower daily operating costs."
